How do know that there was a blow torch effect, I know that O2 supports combustion but is not cobustable.
Case in point When returning from a target and in relative saftey when letting down, when at about 18M feet I would light up a cigarette. With the O2 hose in one hand and the cigarette in the other I would take a puff, as things went black I would take a suck of O2, so a puff and a suck. As an experiment I would hold the O2 hose next to my mouth , the cigarette slightly away and blow the O2 through the cigarette, a sheet of flame would shoot out.
