Welcome, Guessing you've already checked the 484th BG forum on this site and Googled for a 484th BS association....? You're more likely to find information searching for the group than his squadron.
Combat Squadrons of the Air Force WWII shows the 825th BS did not have an emblem so you'll have to content yourself with the 15th AF emblem.
The 825th was stationed at Harvard AAField Nebraska Sept 20, 1943 to March 2, 1944. Torretto Airfield, Italy from April 8, 1944 then Casablanca, French Morocco May 25, 1945 to July 25, 1945.
Campaigns were Air Offensive, Europe; Rome-Arno; Normandy; Northern France; Southern France; North Apennines; Rhineland; Central Europe; Po Valley; Air Combat, EAME Theater.
Hope this helps your grandfather's memory banks. Do google if you haven't already.
Okay, couldn't help myself...check www.484th.org
and the 484th site on this forum. Maybe your grandfather can help out other folks looking for people in the group and squadron. Google has some sites with a lot of photos of the 484th in action, might help your grandfather with memories.
